... we set a date for the wedding this week!!! we're finally doing it -- i'm finally marrying my prince. as most of you know, we postponed our wedding that was originally planned for october 17, 2009 {can you believe it's been that long??} but we don't want to let another year go by without tying ourselves together. so, one day at work i looked up the event calendar for skelly lodge. travis and i wanted a fall wedding, and skelly had a november 10th available, the only date available for the fall, and it sounded perfect. 11.10.12.

moving day at TU {and it wasn't me!}
today was a little surreal. sierra moved into lottie jane dorm at TU. i worked from home so i could head over to the campus and help with moving day. it was odd to be back on campus, in my old dorm, and not be a student. what was even more weird? the fact that it has already been ten years since i moved in! what??? how on earth did that happen?
mom and dad brought all of her things and i met them at the school. justin and lindsay arrived a little later. what started as a very white room {wait! did i mention she has her own private room, that links to another room with two other room mates -- she just has to share the sink that's in her room} ... anyway, i got sidetracked. what started as a very stark space quickly turned into a nice, homey, very sierra-esque room. by the time we were finished, it looked fantastic.
she had orientation that afternoon,so after we did some unpacking {and made a list of things she still needed to get at the store, like wall hangers, etc}, sierra got ready and we headed to lunch together.
we headed to the brook on brookside where we shared a delicious plate of loaded fries and ate more than necessary. after that, i headed back to the house to get to work; justin and lindsay headed back to muskogee; and mom, dad, and sierra headed back to the dorm to wrap up and get her settled in.
congratulations, sierra. we are so proud of you. i know you'll have a great time at TU. i hope you make lots of fun memories as a golden hurricane!
