Instead, I'll continue to talk about my obsessions.
TWILIGHT! TWILIGHT! TWILIGHT! It is ABSOLUTELY a major obsession of mine. I'm not sure how this happened. When I look at myself, I feel a little ridiculous {okay, a lot ridiculous} but I just can't help myself. I can't make myself stop!
It took me a while, but once I hopped on the Twilight bandwagon, I. was. hooked! Travis and I never watched Twilight while it was in theaters but decided to pick up the DVD one night at the rental store. We both really enjoyed it, so when Twilight: New Moon opened, we headed out to the theater.
I love to read and considered reading the books several times, but just never got around to purchasing them. Kate had been telling me about the books for some time, and at her birthday party {Twilight-themed of course}, I was so intrigued by all of the added details she had to share. I finally asked for the books for my birthday and my sweet fiance gifted me with the entire set ... and I could hardly put them down from the moment I opened them. I'm so silly but I feel a kindredship with the characters. It made me so sad to finish the series because I feel as if I'm missing actual friends in my life, as if people I care about have moved away.
I am so weird.
So now, I've been watching the movies back to back. Stuck here in St. Louis without a car, I'm actually watching New Moon over and over each day when I finish with work making sure it's the last thing I see before I close my eyes.
Have I mentioned that I'm weird?
Tonight while working on blog posts for Notably Noted, I signed into my Twitter account and discovered that Jimmy Kimmel was having an Eclipse special! I never watch JK, but immediately jumped up to change the channel. I only got to see the last 15 minutes, but I sat with a huge grin on my face the entire time.
Now I can't wait for Eclipse to hit theatres. Kate has tickets for us opening night ... but I'm thinking of purchasing the Cinemark package that shows all three movies back-to-back-to-back. Can. Not. Wait!!
{I'm about to decide not to post this at all because it's rather embarrassing. I better hit "publish" quickly before this is lost forever to the world of blogging. }

Hahaha! This was me and Jenny about 3 years ago before everyone jumped on the bandwagon and there were even talks about a movie. I so wish the series would have been much, much longer. Did you read the version Stephanie Meyer wrote from Edward's point of view? Midnight Sun. Someone stole the manuscript and leaked parts of it, so she got pissed and published the whole thing online, even though it's only partly written. She says she'll never finish it. :(
=) I almost didn't jump on the bandwagon ... just because of the fact that it was a bandwagon and had so much hype. Travis and I liked the first movie pretty well and that's when we decided to check out New Moon. It wasn't really an obsession, though, until I read the books. I did read Midnight Sun ... and am SOOOOO disappointed that she hasn't finished it. I'm like you - I wish the series had been much, much longer. Have you read the novella about Bree? You can read it online or purchase it in stores now. I watched the red {er, black} carpet premier of Eclipse on mtv.com the other night and Stephanie Meyer said she will probably finish Midnight Sun at some point. I think she should do the whole series from Edward's POV.
yayyyy!!! glad you're over on the dark side now :) and i know what you mean about the hawaii update - i reeeeally want to, but it just seems overwhelming so i keep putting it off!
Me too! I'm overwhelmed....so far, all I have is the Cliff's Notes version, haha!
