this morning my brother had surgery. he has been suffering from an umbilical hernia for sometime. it was discovered earlier this summer, but it seemed to take forever for the hospital to schedule a surgery for him.
he had to be at the hospital at 7:00 this morning, but wasn't even called back for his surgery until noon! everything went well. i called my mom to check on him and i quote, "the doctor said everything went fine. he told us he 'just pushed it all back inside and sewed him up.'" lovely. thanks to everyone for their thoughts and their prayers while he was under the knife.
