bamboo-zled.

Tonight on the way home, Travis and I drove through Owasso so we could stop at the Best Buy there.  I'd been wanting to try out a Bamboo drawing pad.  People are always surprised when they hear that I do all of my artwork for Notably Noted just using the touchpad (mouse feature) on my laptop.  I thought I could be more precise and have better luck with an electronic drawing pad.  I'm so excited to try it out!!

[update]  Unfortunately, this is very difficult to use!  I have much better luck my old way.  Now I want what the designers on West Coasts Customs have -- a screen on which I can directly draw.  That's the problem with the bamboo ... you can't immediately see what you're drawing on the pad which sits next to your laptop/desktop.  I'll just keep wishing.  =)

family & friends come to visit.

this was a very busy weekend for us.  andy made a trip down from edmond and justin, lindsay, and parker made a trip up from muskogee. i would like to say it was to celebrate sweet oli's birthday, but really it was just coincidence.  andrea stayed the night, but while everyone was here, we just spent the afternoon at our house enjoying the boys and baby parker.  such a sweet addition to our family!

you are the sunshine of my life.

this boy turns 1 this week!  such a big guy now, but still a little cuddle bug.  it's hard to remember our lives without him.  oliver - sweet oli bear - we love you so much! happy {early} birthday!!

welcome home, parker!

we started off  2012 in such a special way -- spending time with sweet baby parker in his home.  look at how tiny this little guy is! 

travis didn't get to meet parker at the hospital.  we had been at hastings hospital in tahlequah all day long, and travis had to work the next day.  he waited until midnight and finally headed home.  just as he walked in the door to our house, parker was born.  travis was so disappointed he had missed it.  

{i'm writing this post well after this date, and knowing how close these two boys are now, it's fascinating to look back and see where and how it all started.}

dinner tonight.

since the days have been so crazy lately, i haven't had a lot of time to do much of anything besides work on the taleo upgrade, the conocophillips repositioning, and fill notably noted orders.

tonight, i decided to whip up a somewhat decent dinner based on stuff i had on hand.  i happened to have some alfredo sauce.  i dressed it up with fresh tomatoes, freshly torn basil, capers, and mushrooms. 

it was mm-mmm-good!  semi-homemade, but i'll take it!

it's my hair!!  yes, mine!  i don't know what got into me this week, but i decided to just go for it.  and i love it.  i think.  =)  travis didn't know what to think when i walked in the door, but i think it's growing on him.
