bachelorette party: getting ready.

saturday night was my bachelorette party, and the girls had such a fun weekend planned -- glamping at skiatook lake!

before heading out to the lake, amelia and i did a little shopping.  i wanted something white to wear for the bachelorette party and i also wanted white pjs to wear that night.  we searched everywhere friday night before the mall closed {quick in and out because we only had about 20 minutes}, but had zero luck anywhere.  we looked online and saw that jc penny had quite a few white pjs listed.  we decided we'd wake up the next morning and head to the mall again and try our luck there.

we hit the jackpot and i found the cutest set of pjs.  we were supposed to be meeting mom, aunt brenda, and aunt sharon for brunch at the cheesecake factory, so our time was limited again.  after we purchased the pjs, we decided to try our luck in the clothing department -- and hit the jackpot again right off the bat.  a sweet white top.  it was sleeveless, though, and the weather has been pretty chilly. jacket, shrug, cardigan. we needed something.  everything immediately in our sight was black or uber dark.  i walked just a couple of rows down and found a white-ish metallic bomber jacket.  i loved it!  we snatched it up, and headed to the checkout again ... just in time to get a call from mom and the aunts.  they had just gotten to the cheesecake factory.

they snagged us a table on the patio {we love eating on the patio at the cheesecake factory}, and amelia and i quickly met up with them.  brunch was perfect, but afterward, amelia and i had to scoot along and start getting ready for the bachelorette party.

i had barely gotten changed and had my little bag packed when girls started arriving.  i felt like everyone whisked me away pretty quickly, but it was so much fun.  i didn't know what we were doing until the night before.  everyone had kept it a secret up to that point ... and i still didn't really know.  all i knew was that we were hitting up a winery and then staying at a cabin on the lake.

wherever we were headed, it sounded like we were going to have an adventure ...
