date night with the loves.

yesterday was our first full day home, and we already had dinner plans with the loves because crystal's sister amber was in town.  they talk about amber and her husband all the time, so crystal wanted to make sure we had the chance to meet her while she was in town. 
{haley is still in muskogee so we didn't have to worry about her being home alone}. 

we started the evening at mcnellie's downtown. when matthew, crystal, and amber got there, matthew gave me a big hug and said, "things just aren't the same when travis isn't here."  i tease those two about how close they are.  a lot of times they text each other first thing in the morning; they work together all day; and then often text each other in the evenings from home.  

dinner was a lot of fun.  it was kind of nice to be somewhere familiar again catching up with good friends. after dinner we headed over to red dirt so the guys could shoot some pool.  we wanted to share red dirt with amber, too.  i never thought i would like it, but crystal and i have a lot of fun line dancing to some of the songs -- she introduced me to it last fall a few weeks before our wedding.  we have such a blast, we ended up having some of the songs played at our wedding {the wobble, the cupid shuffle, etc.}. 

i felt badly because i ended up not being great company for amber.  i was fading quickly.  travis and i both still go to bed pretty early these days.  once i hit a wall, i don't usually get a second wind.  we didn't dance at all, just visited while the guys shot pool. 

we headed home before it got too late and promptly fell into bed and fast asleep.
